According to witnesses, doors and windows were rattling. The saddest thing was actually right after the quake – people found a lot of Humboldt squid flapping around on La Jolla Shores beach.

<p>People immediately started helping poor sea-dwellers to get back home, however, they weren&#8217;t the only &#8220;visitors&#8221; at the seashore &#8211; the seagulls were swooping in and started feeding on the squid. People claimed that those squids were heavy, very slippery, and completely disoriented after the earthquake.
<p>These spices of squids are known for attacking scuba divers. Humboldt squid live at depths of 660 to 2,300 feet in the eastern Pacific. Such a squid reaches up to 6 feet and weighs as much as 100 pounds. I don&#8217;t want to meet one …  </p>
