Tarsiers, probably one of the most interesting animals in the world. They are exotic, funny and so small. Latin name is ‘Tarsius Syrichta’. They eat mostly insects, tarsiers grow up to 160 mm and weigh up to 165 grams. They can’t be mistaken with other animals and small primates because of a very peculiar appearance. Tarsiers possess large eyes and feet. They got such a strange name exactly because of the extended tarsus bones. These animals are perfect hunters because of large eyes and ears. They lead a night style of life. Oh, no! It doesn’t mean that they go to discos or participate in hot dancing nights, they are hunting and at day time they are mostly sleeping. Tarsiers’ vision is extremely acute and they can catch insects and even birds by jumping either from one branch to another or from one tree to another. Sometimes, tarsiers can hunt even snakes. Moreover, tarsiers’ neck can turn 180 degrees. As a rule, tarsiers live on trees and they are of gray colour. Tarsiers possess a naked tale (unlike many other animals).

Tarsiers still live in some parts of Philippines and in Indonesia. If to believe to the statistic data, there are only between 5,000 and 10,000 tarsiers in the whole world. And, unfortunately, the predictions are not pessimistic. Because of their beauty and funny appearance people begin to breed tarsiers in captivity, and they DO NOT live like that, there are some cases when tarsiers even commit suicides, because captivity is a great stress for them. It is awful, when such a funny and cheerful animal can bang its head on something like a cage. Another reason for their number reduction is the destruction of Rain Forests. Also, the representatives from Japan and Mexico like to buy unusual pets, as tarsiers and they adore buying them for nothing – only 100 pesos (£1.50) for a tarsier. But, officially a tarsier CAN NOT be kept in captivity and CAN NOT be bought at the Philippines!

Communication of tarsiers is a very interesting topic to be viewed. Young tarsiers communicate mostly with a help of distress calls. They use such a call, only when separated from mothers. One mother can give a birth only to a one tarsier (while a pregnancy!)

Please, remember, tarsiers are beautiful and sensitive, it is no use to take them home. We have to live them alone, because they adore living with their relatives in natural conditions. Don’t provoke a depression of this cute animal!

There are more than 300 kinds of hummingbirds. Hummingbirds are called “nectivores” because about 90 percent of their diet is nectar from flowers)
The most interesting fact is that inspite of hummingbirds are small in size, they have large appetites. Hummingbirds consume between 3.14 and 7.6 calories a day. That may not seem like much, but if humans (who may eat 3,500 calories a day) had the metabolism of a hummingbird, they would have to consume approximately 155,000 calories a day. That’s about 77 times as much as most humans eat!!!

But inspite if variety of species, Hummingbirds are found only in the Americas. But Hummingbirds sometimes fly into garages and become trapped. It is widely believed that this is because they mistake the hanging (usually red-color) door-release handle for a flower, although hummingbirds can also get trapped in enclosures that do not contain anything red.

 Once inside, they may be unable to escape because their natural instinct when threatened or trapped is to fly upward. This is a life-threatening situation for hummingbirds, as they can become exhausted and die in a relatively short period of time, possibly as little as an hour.

Because of Aye-Aye’s unnatractive appearance and human’s superstitious beliefs, lemurs were killed often by some native people. And in fact, some tribes will abandon their village if aye-aye is seen passing through…

First of all, nowadays, hamsters are mostly used as pets, although they are rodents, but rather small. Hamsters belong to the rodent family and they are mammals as well. The word “hamster” is derived from the German word “hamstern” – that is “hoard”. Peculiar to all hamsters feature is expanded cheek pouches, their hamsters carry food for further usage or simply take it to the burrow and store there.

HAMSTER CARE AND HEALTH. So, you have bought a hamster, but he or she fro sure needs a house. There are a lot of them, but you have to choose the best one for your beloved pet. But even if you have chosen a house, you have to buy additional attachments as well, because they will make life of your hamster more interesting and exciting. There are cages, tube cages, aquariums, they are of different size and at various price from $10 to $1000. If you decided to use an aquarium, be careful in order your hamster not to escape from it. You can eve make a house with your own hands.

Sometimes, Dwarf Hamsters can suffer from the diabetes, if your hamster has a constant thirst and wants drinking all day long, suddenly begin loosing his or her weight, always tired and inactive, irritative and always hungry – go to the veterinarian. The doctor will make a precise diagnosis.

Hamsters are very active, especially young and small hamsters, very often they can fall (for example, at night) and broken a leg – in this case, of course, visit a veterinarian but what is more take away any attachments from his cage and add more calcium in his daily food.

Don’t be afraid, this puppy is completely OK! His name is Spudgy and he just wants sleeping, but as a real proud and independent dog he can’t allow himself sleeping in front of the camera!

Actually, I have not only a cat, but a dog, as well, later I will show her photos to you. But now – puppies! There are so many of them, but before buying a pet, you have to be, if it is possible to say so, “educated” in this sphere!

Pay attention to the following information, since the early childhood, puppies need your love and caring, they are active and adore playing. If your puppy is healthy and OK, he or she will grow extremely quickly. Don’t worry, sometimes puppies can change their coloring.

Nowadays, “pocket puppies” are at the top of popularity. Any pocket puppy is a pet, that can be together with you amy moment of your life, it is friendly and nice, energetic, intelligent. They can live both in the city and in the country. They love children and never hurts them. It is even difficult to name them pets, they are members of your family. And what is more important – their lifespan is rather long (up to 18 years). There are a lot of breeds of such puppies and you can choose according to your own preferences.Remember, they will look like puppies all the time!

You can train your puppy since the childhood, but be patient, they are young and want to play and go for a walk instead of making hard-training! So, don’t shout at them, just keep your temper! Try to make a game out of your training, fun and easy! Puppies can’t stand violence and harsh power. They already know that you their owner, it is no use to remind about this. Another tendency in the Dog’s world – is dog’s designing. When a breeder takes two dogs of different breeds and make one breed out of them – a so called hybrid! Bright examples: cockapoo or a ‘corkie, labradoodle, yorkiepoos. The price of these hybrids is rather high as well. But sometimes such puppies are weak and can catch a lot of illnesses.
