Starfish

Starfish is not actually a fish at all! There are several types of shapes of this nature’s creation: like Sugar starfish, white starfish, Crown of thorns, sunflower star, Bahamian etc. Actually, there are nearly 2000 kinds of sea stars!
We use to think that starfish has its five legs, but some of them have more, which radiate from an indistinct disk, like sunflower fish.
There are about 1,800 known living species of them, and they occur in all of the Earth’s oceans. People often buy starfishes for home aquarium.

Great creation
Starfish

(The common starfish is normally 10-30cm )

Starfish can change its color, can do a lot of fun things with ther legs, but! – they don’t have ears and nose…
Most of its life, starfish moves slowly across the ocean floor.
The next shocked fact: If a starfish is cut into pieces, each piece will grow into a whole starfish!

Different colors

The next amazing fact:
Starfish are almost unique in the fact that, unlike most other animals, they do not have blood but instead use sea water to pump around their bodies!

And what surprised me more then other facts that, because of this ability to digest food outside of its body, the sea star is able to hunt prey that are much larger than its mouth.
Really, curious, bright monster. )

A miracle or mistake of the nature?

Let me proceed with the water animal’s subject.

There is no doubt from my side that Hippocampus is some sort of beautiful side effect of sea animal’s origin. It seems, that initial scenario of nature didn’t include appearing of this inconceivable combination in living organism. That is why hippocampus for a long time was covered by few myths.

Hipramul

First of them is that one definite individual is faithful to another during all his life. Romantic, isn’t it?
But recently, the group of British ichthyologist revealed that each its male is able to flirt with a 25 females per day!

This is the real life…dear ladies)

The second unexpected fact is (r u ready?) that around 40% of hippocampuses are homosexual!

So, my dear readers I have a question to you – how could it be that consequences of excessive emancipation have penetrated into the blue depth?)))
