Bald Hedgehog Surprises Everybody Around

Last August a strange potato-like creature was found wandering in a garden. An animal was taken to Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Aylesbury, and he still leaves there. A strange creature turned to be a hedgehog but he is a completely bald one.

Cute Spud

Experts from the hospitals try their best to find out what is causing the following loss of spines and why the skin of a hedgie becomes that dry he can’t hold his spines. Hospital staff asks everybody concerned for help and any alternative medicine possible remedies.

The bald animal got a name and they call him Spud, because he still has initial instincts and rolls up every time he is afraid of something and in such a position he looks like a real potato. The hedgehog can’t be released back into the wild because he is defenseless without spines and he will immediately catch a flu.

Just imagine, every day the animal has a warm bath and a massage with baby oil in order to survive, otherwise his skin will be too dry to live. However, Spud is the most unusual animal of of more than 500 hedgehogs currently living at the animal hospital.
