Kakadu National Park is situated in Australia and extends over 19,804 square kilometers. It was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Due to natural diversity, this park has a great variety of animals, many of them are endangered, rare, endemic or vulnerable. There are approximately 60 mammal species, more than 280 species of birds, 117 species of reptiles, 2 species of crocodile, 25 frog species, 53 freshwater fish species, more than 10 000 species of insect.

Tigers… I’ve always wanted to have one. They seem so cute (especially, when they are young) and inoffensive. But, now (because I am not a child anymore) I perfectly understand, that these beautiful and powerful animals are dangerous, but they still need our help, our protection. Unfortunately, nowadays, tigers are an endangered species. Earlier, there were 8 species of tigers and now 3 of them are extinct and 5 are endangered.

Sun Bears Are Under the Threat of Extinction

On the 12th of November, sun bears were given a status of Vulnerable animals. There are 8 kinds of these bears and 6 of them are under the threat of extinction. These bears can be found in places ranging from the eastern Himalayas to China, also in some parts of Indochina and the Malayan peninsula. Their favourite places of living are tropical forests.
