Since I’m sharing with you interesting and important facts, news and stories about animals in general and pets in particular, I made my mind to write more about breeds of cats, I hope it’ll be interesting to both owners of these breeds and future owners, who are only trying to make a decision about a breed of their pet.

Today, I will tell you more about Maine Coon Cats. So, about this breed.

Maine coon breed

The Maine Coon considered to be one of the oldest breeds and they are said to be relatives of long-haired cats in North America.  Their name partly comes from  a native of the state of Maine.

Europeans brought these cats with them to the new world.  But climate made its deal and they became handsome and rugged cats.  Maine Coons are nice and healthy breed.

My bro, Wiggy (aka, Ludwig) is part Maine Coon. He’s my favorite cat and we get along really well. He’s almost as big as me!
